On September 26, 2025, Reuters reported that Anthropic is set to triple its international workforce and expand its applied AI team fivefold within the year to keep pace with growing demand outside the U.S.
Currently, about 80% of Claude’s usage comes from markets outside the U.S., with countries like South Korea, Australia, and Singapore seeing usage rates per person higher than in the U.S.
The company has already scaled its enterprise client base from fewer than 1,000 to over 300,000 institutions in just two years. Its run-rate revenue reportedly climbed past $5 billion as of August, up from $1 billion early this year.
To support expansion, Anthropic plans to open new offices in Tokyo, as well as bolster presence in Dublin, London, and Zurich.
The global growth push comes shortly after Microsoft announced integration of Claude into its Copilot assistant, positioning Anthropic more deeply into enterprise AI infrastructure.
